About the SIA Member of the Year Award
The SIA Member of the Year Award honors Security Industry Association (SIA) member companies that have shown outstanding involvement in SIA committees, subcommittees, interest groups and working groups, participation in SIA events and the SIA Education@ISC conference program, leadership, recruitment of SIA members and contributions to SIA thought leadership and the industry overall. The Member of the Year Award is presented at The Advance, SIA's annual membership meeting, held during ISC West.
2026 Member of the Year Recipients: Amazon and YourSix
SIA has selected Amazon and YourSix to each receive a 2026 SIA Member of the Year Award.
Amazon has been a highly engaged corporate member of SIA since joining the association in 2023, actively participating in a variety of SIA programs, events, courses, offerings and services. Amazon team members have frequently attended SIA events—including AcceleRISE, Perimeter PREVENT, Protecting Utilities, Securing New Ground, SIA GovSummit, the SIA Market Leaders Reception, SIA National Capital Region Security Forum (NCRSF) networking events and the Vertical Insights webinars—and the company has sponsored events and programs including AcceleRISE and Security Hill Day. Amazon’s corporate security team is a part of the Security Practitioners Advancing Real Conversations (SPARC) community, and the company’s employees have participated in SIA training and certifications like the Security Project Management (SPM) and Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM) courses, SIA OSDP Boot Camp and the Data Privacy Pro Certificate. Amazon staff have been involved in content creation and speaking at Perimeter PREVENT and have participated in SIA committees and communities, including the SIA Women in Security Forum, SIA RISE, the Government Relations Committee, the Identity and Biometric Technology Advisory Board, the Data Privacy Advisory Board, the Video and Vision Subcommittee, the Lower 900 MHz Working Group, the Endowment Committee, the SIA New Products and Solutions Awards and the Talent Inclusion Mentorship Education (TIME) program. Amazon team members have also actively made use of SIA resources and publications.
YourSix has been an active member of SIA since joining the association in 2022. The company’s engagement includes participating in SIA events—including the SIA Executive Reception at ISC West, RISE to Service, Securing New Ground, the SIA Market Leaders Reception, SIA Honors Night, SIAThere! networking event and The Advance—and two of its young professionals were recognized in the SIA 25 on the RISE Awards in 2025. YourSix employees have been actively involved in SIA committees and communities, including the SIA Women in Security Forum, RISE, Veterans in Security and Startups in Security. Jacob Hengel of YourSix is vice chair of the SIA Video and Vision Subcommittee and helped to author a forthcoming report on behalf of the committee with his team, and YourSix’s Eric Styles has been a supporter of SIA Veterans in Security and was profiled in the community’s newsletter.
