  • Give back with the SIA Women in Security Forum (WISF)! Help support the efforts of Dress for Success with the WISF Essentials 4 Job Security Giveback! SIA encourages security professionals attending ISC West to drop off donations at the show.
  • On April 12, ISC West attendees will gather for an engaging, informative Day 3 keynote from Crystal Washington, technology trends expert and one of Forbes’ Leading Female Futurists. In SIA’s new blog, Washington gives a sneak peek of her talk and highlights how generative artificial intelligence can be used to strengthen productivity.

  • Got an idea to share? Speak at AcceleRISE! Help young professionals and rising stars in our industry grow, inspire and lead at this unique event happening Aug. 12-14 in Washington, D.C. Proposals are due May 7; get started here.
  • Calling all early and mid-career security industry professionals! The SIA RISE community invites you to apply for the 2024 Talent Inclusion Mentorship Education (TIME) program. Applications are due April 26; learn more and apply here.

  • SIA has revealed the agenda for the 2024 GovSummit, SIA’s annual public policy and government security technology conference and taking place May 21-22 in downtown Washington, D.C. Get a sneak peek here!
  • SIA has appointed new chairs to three of its key advisory boards. Wayne Dorris of Axis Communications is the new chair of SIA’s Cybersecurity Advisory Board, Dan Cremins of Delta Electronics is leading the Built Environment Advisory Board and Bobby Prostko of Allegion is spearheading the Data Privacy Advisory Board.
  • SIA has welcomed four new members to the SIA team to support the association’s members and initiatives: Rachel Tayag, associate director of learning and development; Adriana Lopez Cadima, senior manager of design and videography; Natalie Robinson, senior manager of member services; and Adom Yusuf, senior manager of standards and technology.

  • SIA and ASIS International have announced the agenda and speaker lineup for their second annual Security LeadHER conference, an event designed to showcase women in security. Security LeadHER 2024 will be held June 24-25 at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown in Phoenix, Arizona. Get a sneak peek here.
